Miley Cyrus is So Damn Hot.

Okay, people, it's time to face facts here; Miley Cyrus is definitely not Hannah Montana anymore. Critics may try to bash her but this girl is freakin' awesome, and she is back on top! Only this time Miley's at the top as herself, and not a Disney character. Introducing Miley, the hot, young woman.

photo from article in Cosmopolitan March 2013

We've all known her almost her whole life, yet it feels like we're meeting a whole new young woman. It's been two years since Hannah Montana, people. She is not a little girl anymore. Miley took these past years to really live her life and get to know herself, and to know love (in case you live under a rock somewhere, Miley is engaged to Hunger Games hottie, Liam Hensworth.) She's got a much buzzed-about album releasing (hopefully) sometime soon, as well as a buzzed head that I could just die over! Plus she's planning a wedding, and she's recently teamed up with (my idol) stylist of the Gods, Rachel Zoe! If I may quote Alicia Keys, this girl is on fire! I really can't wait to see what she's got next for us, and I am so, so, soooooo excited for her new album. She's going to blow your minds, watch.

She's already been blowing minds on the red carpet! I'm not saying she hasn't always had a cute style, because she really has. But this collab with Rachel Zoe... it's a gift from heaven! Miley has been killing it, red carpet after red carpet.

Here she is looking totally friggin' amazing at Rachel Zoe in Rachel Zoe during fashion week.

What a woman! She looks totally gorgeous at the Elton John after party after the Oscars. Miley's wearing an Azzaro dress, Lorraine Schwartz jewels (of course,) and Givenchy shoes. Yes, bitch.

The Oscars 2013: Best and Worst

The most fabulous night in Hollywood may have passed, but we still can't get enough of the stars fashion choices! Everyone who is anyone was at The Oscars on Sunday, and we've got all the must-see's.

Naomi Watts may not have won Best Actress for her role in "The Impossible", but she definitely wins Best Dressed for her role on that red carpet! Naomi absolutely stunned in a sequined, super chic Armani Prive gown. The cut, the color, the sparkle, her makeup, her hair.... everything was absolute perfection! She was exactly what you picture a true movie STAR to look like in 2013.

(I am completely and totally OBSESSSSSSSSSSSSSEDDDD with this dress!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!)

Some other more than honorable mentions:

Kelly Rowland. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
Kelly definitely made a name for herself in the fashion world this past red carpet season. She amazed us all at the Grammy's, and brought the heat once again at the Oscars. You better work, babe!

Zoe Saldana
Ms. Saldana glowed on the red carpet, wearing Alexis Mabille. The gown flowed gorgeously at the bottom, and she was too chic with that belt! I cannot wait to see this beauty in her new Star Trek film (in theaters May 15!)

Jennifer Lawrence
Now, I'm not exactly sure how this Jennifer Lawrence/Dior love affair came to be, but I am most certainly happy that it did! The young starlett took home the little gold man for Best Actress for her role in "The Silver Linings Playbook" (which I heard is an incredible movie and I cannot wait to see it!), and she wowed in her Dior Haute Couture gown. We can't wait to see what this talented young lady has next for us.

Daniel Day-Lewis
The real man of the hour was Mr. Day-Lewis. He won Best Actor for his role in Lincoln (can you believe that was him playing Honest Abe?!) But before he got to that reward he strutted the red carpet looking absolutely dapper in a midnight blue Dominico Vacca tuxedo. I love a man who isn't afraid to take some fashion chances, I love him even more if he can make it work. Daniel definitely made it work.

And now, the worst (in no particular order):

Anne Hathaway
Anne was wearing Prada instead of her usual choice of Valentino... She should have stuck with her Valentino. The front of the dress is awful, the weirdly high slit under her bum was awful, and her showing nipples were just awful. I just didn't like it.

Selma Hayek
Selma wore an Alexander McQueen gown, and an up-do that was much too young for her. Her makeup was plain. I'm thinking maybe with a bolder lip she could have made it work, but overall I have to give her a thumbs down.. or two.

Kristen Stewart
I gotta give K.Stew credit, she's a trooper walking that red carpet on crutches. However, I am not a fan of this dress. The color washes her out, the ruffles at the bottom are confusing, this dress is just an all around no for me.

Keri Washington
The coral color of Keri's Miu Miu gown was gorgeous on her, but I mean, c'mon. This is the OSCARS, not PROM.

Gucci in Milan, it's gotta be perfection.

The fashion industry has been addicted to Gucci since 1921, and they continue to deliver still today in 2013. Creative director, Frida Giannini, took a different approach on sexy this year and I have a feeling it's going to be big.

See, I'm not sure about y'all, but I hate being cold. It seems as though every year as it starts to get colder, I am faced with a dilemma: to be fabulous, or to be warm? Well Gucci has decided no longer should women have to choose, because now they can have both! Giannini was inspired by 60's British artist, Allen Jones. Jones is famous for taking fetishism from behind closed doors to gallery floors (I'm such a poet, eh?) Gucci has a new idea of sexy: no bare skin... well, some bare skin, but hardly any. Their fall/winter 2013 line is so Italy: strong and sexy, and is both without being overbearing. There were long sleeve, body-con jersey dresses, paired with knee-high boots hitting above the skirt lengths. Only a few deep-v dresses and coats were spotted, but (of course) they were all done extremely tastefully, and there was a ton of leather! It was all done in perfect dark tones: army green, navy blue, burgundy, brown, and, of course, black.

The evening wear was to-die-for! The combinations of prints and fabrics were absolutely captivating. I fell completely in love with the polka-dot lace and feathers! This whole line is haute, head-to-toe sexy, without the cleavage. I love the idea of women being covered up as sexy, versus the typical ideal of baring it all. Very well-played, Gucci.

Tom Ford's London Fashion Week Debut

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The reasons I adore Tom Ford are extremely clear in his Autumn/Winter 2013 'Cross Cultural Multi Ethnic' collection.

Couldn't you die?! Talk about attention to detail, hello!

JUST LOOK AT THE PRINTS! Stars, Florals, Chevron stripes, Cheetah, Zebra, patterns freakin' galore!!! Tom Ford came hard to London's Fashion Week 2013. His collection was the definition of perfection, and is definitely going to set the standard for the fall/winter style we will see this year. Furry bombers, TIGER (yes, tiger!) trousers, and (although usually I would be 100% against them) sexy zebra shoes! He ruled this year. Tom stepped outside of his usual, yet still gorgeous, gowns and showed us that he can really do it all.
Hats off to you, Mr. Ford. Truly stunning.

Keep or Toss: Gladiator Sandals

Remember, about five years ago, the gladiator sandal was HUGE? Not even gonna lie, I had a couple pairs: gold & silver. Well it seems as though the trend has made it's way back, and it is bigger than ever.

It was spotted all over New York in midst of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Designers have revamped the gladiator sandal into a full-on gladiator boot! How friggin' haute is that
My, what a controversial shoe! You either hate it or love it.
Me? I love it. If you've got the right legs, I say show 'em off, baby!
The gladiator heels are the perfect way to do that. Wear that sexy mini dress, throw on your gladiators and be the hautest thing not on the runway.

So what do you think? Keep or toss?

It's not terrible. She's a beautiful woman, the dress isn't ugly..... but it's just okay. The necklace should have never been added and her hair should have been up.

I have to admit I am so disappointed... I expected so much more. 2 thumbs down for dress, 5 million thumbs up for the diamonds (get it? because she had $5 million worth of jewelry on)

She looks gorgeous, right? The bodysuit is fly... but this is NOT right for the Grammy's. C'mon, King Bey; you know you could've gone harder. Disappointment.

I adore Janelle Monae and her unique style. I want to point out to the rest of the world how fly she really is... and she's a COVERGIRL!!!!!!!!!!

Katy Friggin Perry, yall.

KATY PERRY WAS THE BEST-DRESSEPERSON ON THAT CARPET.
I just had to put that out there.

Katy Perry made my jaw drop last night. Russell, who? She looked absolutely flawless in her Gucci dress, perfectly matched with her makeup, and her hair was just stunning.

And, oh yes, her boobs were PERFECTION.

I have truly enjoyed watching her become such a megastar and I'm extremely proud of her. To me, last night she showed the world that she is a strong, powerful, beautiful woman and she cannot be broken. I LOVE YOU, KATY, YOU FABULOUS BITCH!

trends I want to see die in 2013

Hell no, Peplum has GOT to go.

(that last look is the worst, isn't it?)

Sorry, Kim. Please don't get me wrong, I love you to pieces and usually I'm very impressed by your style... BUT... Peplum-style ANYTHING is done-zo! This look... it's just not appealing, simply put. This is not high-fashion, it's just unattractive. It's completely played-out and, quite frankly, not cute. At first, I was fine with it and I totally supported it on skinny girls with no ass (because it does give the illusion that curves are there) ... but then Kim Kardashian wore it (why, I'm not sure. we all know what she's working with. hello!) The whole world jumped on that bandwagon, and it was all downhill from there. Yes, I am blaming Kim Kardashian for the peplum-takeover! Go google "Kim Kardashian Peplum Dress" and just look at all the results! lol! As much as I adore her, I wish she would have never put that first peplum dress on. Now there's peplum tops, peplum skirts, and even peplum leggings. LEGGINGS! The one article of clothing that gives everyone an ass, you add a peplum to it? whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?! I'm sick of seeing it, it's not haute at all, and it looks cheap! Sorry, not sorry.

MY FAVORITE TREND FOR 2013!!!!

1
COLORS AND PATTERNS

Hermes, Chanel, Stella McCartney Spring 2013
*pictures from Harper's Bazaar

The groundhog did not see his shadow, so springtime is surely on it's way. Are you ready, ladies? The flowers will be blooming soon; you should be, too! Colors and patterns are a great way to show your personality, and to make a bold statement this season. MIX IT UP, GIRLS!! Wear black with brown! Match floral with cheetah! .. Calm down, calm down! I know.. it's a scary thought. You're breaking all the rules, right? But, see, that's the great thing about fashion: there are no rules! Take a risk this season, do what makes you feel your best. Nothing is more beautiful on a woman than confidence! My suggestion? Wear it however you want. Try using this trend along with one of the other top trends of the season, and you are sure to be the hautest thing not on a runway.

my top five hottest trends of 2013 (Number Two)

2
LEATHER
Jason Wu, Mandy Coon, and Alexander Wang at Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week.

(again, the Jason Wu is just so sexy!!)

You're probably sitting there, telling me that leather is nothing new. & you are absolutely right. It's been around forever so that means it will BE around forever. (remember those "investment pieces I was talking about before? *hint hint*) Leather is that classic bad-ass, rock-n-roller, punk way of being absolutely fabulous. Plus, it's an instant confidence booster! It can be done any number of ways, from office appropriate to 4:00 am walk of shames (ha! I kill myself!) An easy way to get into this trend is probably just buying a little leather dress to start off. And no, I'm not saying it has to be black leather either! Check out these colorful leathers spotted in fashion week:
Reem Acra, rag & bone, and Derek Lam at Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week.

See what I mean?! How freakin' haute!!! (SN: this look will actually be fabulous with my pick for the number one trend!) My office suggestion? A sexy chiffon blouse paired with a leather pencil skirt, matched with some very strappy heels. My suggestion for the night out? THAT JASON WU DRESS PAIRED WITH THOSE VERY SAME HEELS. lol, can you guys tell I'm biased in some ways? As always, I say choose what's you! Just wear it with confidence and you'll be the hautest thing not on a runway, baby.

my top five hottest trends for 2013 (Number Three)

another personal fave

3
PRINTS
*photo from http://patternbank.com
all outfits are Peter Pilotto S/S 2013

Prints are absolutely ev-er-y-wheeeerrreee this season! Bright, colorful, wild, floral, blocky... you name it, it's so in. The thing I love the most about this trend is the diversity in it. So many different wonderful prints to choose from, how can you possibly pick one?! My suggestion? Wear more than one (by more than one, I mean two... three is seriously pushing it.) Mix-match prints is super bold, & it can give you that high fashion look you crave. Note: just because the prints are different, it does not mean they will look good together. IT CAN GO HORRIBLY WRONG EXTREMELY FAST IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL! lol! Make sure your colors flow together and the prints compliment one another. I said "MIX-MATCH", not "not matching at all." Try some floral leggings or denim with a striped top (my preference is vertically-striped because it will elongate the torso, but if you're confident enough I would definitely choose horizontal, too.) Pick the prints that match you & wear a solid color heel, you'll be the hautest thing not on a runway.

Beauty is my power.

my top five hottest trends for 2013 (Number Four)

good morning, all.

4
(my personal favorite look)
MIDRIFF-BARING TOPS
& HIGH-WAIST BOTTOMS
love,love,love BALMAIN
*got the photo off pinterest

I AM COMPLETELY, TOTALLY, ALL-CONSUMINGLY OBSESSED WITH THIS LOOK! This trend is so sexy, and so NOT slutty. The high-waist bottoms are perfect for accentuating the legs, and giving the illusion that you're taller than you really are (this is awesome news for the 5'5" & under crew, such as myself.) This look can easily work for night or day, such an awesome transition trend. If you're going out, try a solid color crop-top paired with a high-waist sequenced skirt or pant (for the girlier type) or go for leather (if you're feeling bad.) Maybe you're going out to lunch with your fabulous girlfriends, my suggestion would be a graphic or printed top paired with some vintage high-waist denim. Make it fit you & your personality, it's such an haute trend for any occasion. It's also a great way to show off your sexy shape. Baring your midriff is like giving yourself a new waistline, the high-waist pants are just that perfect accent to make you feel and truly look like a super model. Match it with the perfect pair of shoes, and you're sure to be the hautest thing not a runway.
